Time for spring cleaning!
For me the hard part isn’t parting with stuff; it’s deciding what to DO with it all. Is this item to donate, sell, compost, eco-centre, recycle, or save for my BFFs kids? There are literally 8 different piles — still in my house — of what is supposed to be going out the door.
MGPT to the rescue. We’ve got a plan to make your “old” someone else’s “brand new”, so you can feel good about where stuff is going.
WORKOUT WEAR: PAY IT FORWARD
Bring us all the tanks, leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, shorts, and sneaks that no longer spark joy.
We’ll donate all collected men and women’s used workout wear to le Gym Alternatif. This community program offers homeless adults free access to workout facilities. Participants have access to Downtown or Guy Favreau YMCAs, weekdays from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., with no payment and no paperwork.
Watch this inspiring video to hear first-hand how the Gym Alternatif initiative is helping men and women rebuild self-confidence, stay off drugs and alcohol, and invest in their physical and mental well-being.
MGPT and Downtown YMCA will be drop-off points for exercise apparel and shoes throughout the month of April.
CHILDREN’S BOOKS: PASS ‘EM AROUND
Drop off any En or Fr kids’ books throughout April at MGPT.
Come back to select up to 10 new-to-you books on May 1 & 2. All classes free those days.
